My name is Michael Flower. I am 68 years old and a Professor of Classics at Princeton University, with a specialization in ancient Greek and Roman history. I also teach Classical Greek at all levels. During the spring and summer of 2024 my vision began to decline precipitously. And even with a new pair of glasses, the situation continued to get worse. When I found out that both of my eyes had developed cataracts in both eyes along with high myopia. Even though getting to his office in Manhattan from my home in Princeton would be a long trip by train and subway, I thought the effort would be well worth it. After all, you only have one pair of eyes and any loss of time in the commute was hardly worth the risk of losing my sight. As it turned out, Dr. Fong more than lived up to his reputation. Both surgeries went flawlessly and quickly. He used the most advanced surgical equipment and procedures, and he and his staff explained the medical procedure in detail as well as what the recovery would be like. Moreover, in the course of my pre-operation eye exam, he discovered that I had a fairly advanced case of glaucoma in each eye and that this condition needed to be treated immediately.

Dr. Fong is a gracious and deeply caring physician with countless successful surgeries to his credit. Moreover, to my delight, he knows a tremendous amount about Greek and Roman history, and we had some highly enjoyable conversations about our mutual interests. Despite the length of the journey, I always very much looked forward to seeing him again.

Dr. Fong is the best there is. I am so glad that I found him and that he was able to perform my surgeries within a few weeks of my very first appointment. I have not had any trouble with my retinas and made an appointment for me with a retina specialist in NYC who examined them extremely thoroughly. On top of that he diagnosed my glaucoma before I began to lose my vision and eventually go blind. I could not be more grateful to him for saving my sight and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
